Since the sum of the ranks of ME subtracted by the no. of letters in the word is 16 and the sum of the ranks of COD subtracted by the no. of letters in the word is 19 then the same applies to the word IDEA as it its 19 (the sum of the letters) - 4 (the numbers of letters in the word IDEA)

The pattern is:
ME → M(13) + E(5) = 18 − 2 = 16
COD → C(3) + O(15) + D(4) = 22 − 3 = 19
IDEA → I(9) + D(4) + E(5) + A(1) = 19 − 4 = 15
So the correct answer is 15.
